here is the last of our purchases for decorating. new lamps and tables... yea!!! so now all we have to wait for is the crown mold (perhaps in about 6 months... when dad is able to get to them). but overall, we're pretty happy with the finish look.

wow! i didn't realize that i hadn't written for so long. i have some photos of a family reunion as well as some other stuff to download. so i promise there will be some new stuff soon. mom
in case you haven't noticed, the sheers have a diamond pattern and so do the throw pillows and the grid in the front door. pretty, huh! nana and aunt cathryn came over to see it the other day, and they both loved it. we are still deciding what pictures to put up and where to hang them. we'll take more photos as we decide on that.
these are photos with a bit more finished. we love the carpet, and the colors all tie in perfectly. the most accurate color for the rug is on the closeup. i have a little sewing to do for the drapes to be finished, but we are both very happy with the overall look.
we are sooooo excited... (well, at least i am) we have finally done the painting and carpet. we have also moved most of our useable stuff in. (i'm not quite sure yet what we'll do with the rest of the junk still in the dining room.) so here are the latest photos. (the most accurate paint color is in the master bedroom photo... but lighting always makes it a little different.)

this is with almost all the new moldings up. it was handy to hide the extra wiring under the moldings... clever daddy!
